The DSFRS Concert Band performs across Devon and Somerset throughout the year, including at open days, fêtes and concerts for a wide variety of organisations and charities, both as the full Concert Band and as smaller Wind and Brass Ensembles. We are proud to represent the Fire Service in our activities.
The DSFRS Concert Band can be hired for both formal and informal events such as concerts, fêtes, open days, garden parties, charitable events and other occasions.
Both the full Concert Band and smaller Wind and Brass Ensembles are available upon request. We are currently also forming a Marching Section to work alongside the DSFRS Corps of Drums.

The Concert Band is friendly and welcoming, led and encouraged by our outstanding Musical Director, former Royal Marine Bandsman Martin Andrew, BMus (Hons), MA PGDip. The band currently has over 40 members and is made up of former professional musicians and keen amateurs.
We welcome new players, particularly trumpeters, bassonists and percussionists. However, whatever Wind Band instrument you play, if you are Grade 5 or above, please get in touch via the ‘Contact Us’ page.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings between 19:30 - 21:30 currently at The Kenn Centre, Exeter Road, Kennford, EX6 7UE.
